Thank you for visiting us at Carolina Lanterns & Lighting. We’re so excited to bring beautiful lighting into your home. To ensure your best shopping experience, please review the Terms and Conditions outlined below in their entirety prior to placing your order.


We cannot guarantee the colors you see on carolinalanterns.com accurately portray or depict the true color of the product. Computers, phones, tablets, and TV screens are not all calibrated the same and color tones on these devices can be drastically different than what you would see in person or under different lighting conditions. Every monitor or mobile display also has a different capability to display colors, and every individual may see these colors differently. In addition, lighting conditions at the time the photo was taken can also affect an image’s color. 


Non-Custom and Non-Copper Fixture(s): All eligible return(s) must be uninstalled and have all original packaging. Items(s) must be returned within 14 days from the pick-up/delivery date. All items are subject to a 30% restocking fee (based on full MSRP/retail) which will be deducted from your credit/refund amount. Discontinued items and display items are not eligible for returns.

Custom Item(s) (including all copper fixtures): Custom orders are typically not eligible for return. Each order will be subject to review. All eligible/approved return(s) must be uninstalled and have all original packaging. Items(s) must be returned within 14 days from the pick-up/delivery date. If approved, custom items are subject to a 50% restocking fee (based on full MSRP/retail) which will be deducted from your credit/refund amount. Any changes or cancellations are also subject to the 50% restocking fee.

Oversized items, including furniture, will be charged an additional return freight fee. 

Once the product is received and inspected at our warehouse, we will issue a refund, less applicable fees, to the same form of payment used for the purchase. If we determine the item has been installed, damaged, or missing components, credit will not be issued, and the item may be returned at your expense. 

The following items and manufacturers are not eligible for returns or exchanges: mirrors, artwork, Accord, Arteriors, Currey & Co., Gabby, Hi-Lite, House of Troy, Hubbardton Forge, Jamie Young, Palecek, Regina Andrew, Ro Sham Beaux, Villa & House, and Worlds Away. 


Upon pick-up/delivery of your item(s), it is your responsibility to thoroughly inspect all item(s) and report any damage or missing parts within 5 days. Failure to do so could result in the denial of a possible claim. If there is obvious freight damage, you must refuse the shipment at time of delivery and note the damage on the bill of lading/delivery slip. We will then order and ship a replacement for you. If you sign for the shipment without reporting any damage(s) you could be responsible for the damage(s).


Carolina Lanterns & Lighting will honor all available manufacturer warranties that are in effect covering manufacturer defects. We will repair or replace the defective item(s) per the manufacturer’s directions. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact the manufacturer to facilitate warranty issues. 


One-Year Warranty: If any part of your lantern fails, due to a defect in materials or workmanship during the first year following pick-up/delivery of your lantern, Carolina Lanterns & Lighting will provide the replacement part and/or lantern replacement at no cost once the defective part/lantern is returned to us. The customer shall be responsible for all costs incurred in removal, reinstallation, and shipping of the product for repairs or replacement. If the customer cannot return lantern/part until replacement is received, the customer will be charged for the replacement and then refunded once the defective item is returned. Because of varying climate conditions, this warranty does not cover changes in the finish, including rusting, pitting, corroding, tarnishing, or peeling. In case of extreme weather conditions such as salty environment, etc., the warranty will be void. Finishes for fixtures installed outdoors are subject to change due to prolonged exposure to sunlight, pollutants, and other environmental conditions. Metal finishes on outdoor fixtures will naturally mature over time, changing in appearance and creating a living finish. Painted finishes on outdoor fixtures may naturally fade over time, depending on the fixture’s exposure to the outdoor elements. Thus, any claim for fading, discoloration, or “patina” of a finish on an outdoor fixture is not applicable to the above warranty. 

Please contact us with any questions on cleaning and maintenance of the lantern. Any foreign substance introduced to the lantern will void the warranty. Please use only water to clean the outside of your lantern. 

Also, please make sure that all contractors, power washers, maintenance people cover the lanterns before spraying anything on the exterior of the house. This will cause the finish to discolor and void the warranty. This warranty is void and does not apply to damage from improper installation, neglect, accident, misuse, exposure to extremes of heat or humidity, or because of any modification to the original product.

Carolina Lanterns & Lighting reserves the right to modify or discontinue any product at any time and may substitute any part under this warranty. Under no circumstances may a lantern be returned without prior authorization and an RGA number from Carolina Lanterns & Lighting. Due to the custom nature of our fixtures, Carolina Lanterns will not honor any chargebacks, installation fees, or any penalties for a project not meeting the completion date.
