Jamey Nelson joined Carolina Lanterns after a 15 year career in the surfacing business in the lowcountry. He heads up our Builder Sales Division. Jamey is ALA Certified, has a BS from Lander University and an MBA from The Citadel. He lives on James Island with his wife and two girls. He enjoys spending time with his family, triathlon and boating.

Richard came to the US on May 1995 (12 years old) from Olongapo Philippines. He was enlisted in the US Navy from February, 2006 through December, 2013. He loves to play and watch all types of sports, especially baseball and softball. He is a big Lakers, Dodgers, and Raiders fan. Basically all California teams since it's where he grew up. Richard is happily married to a beautiful Filipina and they have a beautiful daughter named Nina Marie.

Joining Carolina Lanterns and Lighting in 2014, Pippa brings a unique brand of enthusiasm embracing a new career in Lighting Design. Possessing a keen eye for detail and excellent customer assessment skills, she is able to transform clients’ electrical requirements into illuminating, functional design solutions.

With an Interior Design and Studio Arts background, Pippa has worked in Showroom Sales and Project Management, specializing in kitchen & bath design since arriving in Charleston in 1990. She has also been a freelance decorative painter and architectural illustrator. She enjoys practicing calligraphy, photography, reading and travel.

Kathy was hired in March 2017 to assist with the company’s A/P, A/R, and other Accounting needs. She has over 15 years experience as an accomplished Accountant, working for both large corporations and small companies. She is currently working on obtaining her CPA in Accounting.

Kathy is proficient in Microsoft in Excel and Work Office software, and Quickbooks.

She is an active mother who loves boating, swimming, traveling, and enjoying all Charleston has to offer.

After graduating with a BS in Political Science from Rollins College, Teri decided to make a change and  enter the design world. After gaining experience with Acquisitions and Domain Interiors and Design, Teri made a full-time commitment to design and started with Carolina Lanterns. Teri moved to the Charleston area three years ago and enjoys partaking in the exquisite cuisine, beaches and all the other outdoor festivities that the low country has to offer.

Abbigail moved from Pennsylvania to Charleston in 2010 and is happy to call it home. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts focused in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Charleston in 2013. Design has always had a special place in her heart after learning to read blueprints at an early age with her grandfather, a general contractor. She enjoys spending her free time working on new DIY projects, spending time with friends, and walking around historic Charleston.

Beverly is an ALA Certified lighting specialist who just moved to Charleston in June of 2016 from Dallas, Texas. Beginning as a receptionist at a lighting showroom and working her way up to outside builder sales, she has total of 17 years experience in the lighting world. Her experience ranges in everything from small residential projects to multi-million dollar custom lighting projects! Beverly was on the Board of Directors for the NARI (National Association of Re-modelers) Dallas, TX. She also served as their chapter secretary for two years and was on the Board of Directors, Education Board, and Associates Counsil for the Homebuilders Association of Greater Dallas. When she's off work she can be found enjoying the Charleston beaches, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Has been working in retail for several years. She graduated from Francis Marion University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts in 2006. Looking for a change of pace, she joined the Army National Guard in 2011 where she embarked on an exciting new career and welcomed a world of opportunity.

She joined the Carolina Lanterns team in July 2013, and was hired permanently in November 2013.

She enjoys working hard and spending time with her son.

Marlie has been with the Carolina Lanterns team since June of 2017. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but has lived in Charleston since 2016. She graduated from John Carroll University with a B.A. in Communications and Marketing. She has always loved to interact with customers and find the right solutions to any problems they may have. On her days off, you will find Marlie at a dog park, eating sushi and drinking ice coffee!

Lisa Franz is originally from Muncie, Indiana. She has lived in Charleston for the past 12 years. Lisa joined the Carolina Lanterns & Lighting team in August of 2017. She’s ALA certified and has an eye for interior design. She enjoys boating, golfing and spending time with her adorable Morkie puppy, Griffin. She came to Carolina Lanterns from the fashion Industry having worked at Nancy's and is ready for her new journey!

Scott comes to us after a year and a half working as the Volunteer Coordinator at a local non-profit. Prior to that he was the Children's Pastor for a local church and served in full time ministry for over 14 years.

Scott has been married to his wife, Meghan since 1999 and has four children; Tradd, Cooper, Coleman and Drayton. Orginially from Pennsylvania, Scott has been living in Charleston since 1994 and calls this his home. He's excited about his new position here at Carolina Lanterns and Lighting and looks forward to serving you.
